Jar Candle

THE FIRST BURN
When lighting for the first time, burn the candle until wax melts across the entire surface up to the sides of the vessel as this will prevent tunnelling, and create an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life. This will take up to 2-4 hours, but we promise it will make your candle last longer.
Remember that soy wax has a memory that if your first burn is not complete to the edges, subsequent burns will not ever catch up.

TRIM YOUR WICKS
We recommend trimming your wick before every lighting. The wick only needs to be ¼ inch in length, keeping this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot and ensure a clean burn.

MAXIMISING YOUR SCENT THROW
To maximise fragrance, keep windows and doors closed and burn in desired space for 30 mins before entering. Open windows and doors will disperse scent and lessen the concentration.

HOW TO HANDLE SOOT
If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, wait for it to cool, then clean with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick and relight.

UNATTENDED
Never leave your candle unattended. Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

KEEP THE WAX CLEAN
Keep your wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris always.

HOW TO EXTINGHUISH A CANDLE
You can extinguish your candle by dipping the wick into the melted wax or alternatively by using a snuffer and then straighten wick to prevent smoking and also prevent hot wax from splattering. Never simply blow out the candle.

AVOID WINDY SPACES
Placing your candle in windy areas can cause uneven burning and smoking, reduce burn time and diminished scent throw.

END OF CANDLE LIFE
At the end of candle life, do not burn with less than 1.5cm of wax left in the base. Wax is a fuel for the flame, if you burn this remaining wax your vessel will overheat and rick exploding. You have been warned.

STORING YOUR CANDLES
Candles should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting, such as a spotlight.

CLEANING YOUR CANDLES
Dust and fingerprints can be removed from your candle by gently rubbing the surface with a piece of soft cloth or nylon. The cloth can be dry or slightly dampened with water.
